This paper comes from LED lighting engineering buildings. In the design of the LED lightingengineering, the application based on the traditional master-slave bus such as CAN and IndustrialEthernet bus technology is commonly and widely used. However, some problems are discoveredin some applications that the CAN or Industrial Ethernet bus can’t have high reliability and highreal-time performance, and it doesn’t meet demand of some special application.According to the actual application, it is required to achieve that a master control the output ofother multiple slaves, and control display of each channel LED to finish the complex lightingdesign. The files involving control data stored in the memory card in the design, and each filecontrol each channel LED, and every slave have a good real-time performance in responseaccording to the output of the master. In order to make the design have strong portability and goodversatility to same similar applications, it is required to achieve that the number of the slave canbe determined by the number of the files.In this paper, the idea that using CF card to store data, and expanding serial port by FPGA isproposed, it is a new method to the traditional master-slave bus technology, and the problem thathigh reliability and high real-time performance can’t be possessed at the same time is solved. Theserial ports expanded have the feature of high-speed and synchronous in output. In this paper,two kinds of the design and the analysis about disadvantage and advantage of each one is putforward, and then the thinking that control data processed by software is given, that simplify theoverall design. This design is tested in practical applications, and it show the characters of stableand reliable, it offer a certain reference value for some similar application.
