Chinese culture laged behind West culture since modem times, eaming from the West?is always the inevitable theme of China, the comparative study of culture of China and the West is very important. The second part, from the mutual influence of the human, culture, society, analyse the defects of ChenXuJing's wtiolesalewesternization theory with the method of cultural philosophy. The third part point out the positive significance of it. The intention of writing of the thesis is to introduce ChenXuJing's wholesalewestermzation theory objectively and evaluate it fairly, then to response to the contemporary cultural practice. Because of the complexities of the human, culture, society and their mutual influence, there are some shortcomings and self- contradictories on cultural study, the thesis too.
