The study of interaction in classroom is a kind of practical reflective study, which can help teachers solve class problems as well as enrich their teaching theory, thus promoting their professional development. Domestic and international researches on interaction have given reflective teaching great support in theory and practice. The development of new techniques and tools on interaction analysis, especially the promotion of Flanders Interaction Analysis System (FIAS), boosts reflection on classroom interaction among front teachers. To solve the problem of inefficiency in grammar teaching, I have explored new possibilities in the attributive clauses teaching in Senior2, e.g. to integrate listening, speaking, reading and writing in the class. However, I can’t say it is worth the efforts until I find a professional and scientific analysis system which can help analyze this class. FIAS is widely acknowledged as a professional and scientific tool for classroom analysis. By using FIAS and ITIAS, I analyzed the interaction of language in the attributive clauses revision class. With the help of classroom video record, I coded behaviors, recorded data and graphed matrix. Through matrix of FIAS and ITIAS, I analyzed teacher influence, teacher-student interaction mode, the application of modern technology and the degree of student participation. From the study I find the target class has delightful advantages such as good class structure, moderate teacher talk, flexible teacher influence and etc. However, there are disadvantages, such as closed questions, teacher-driven interaction mode, passive student participation etc. To solve these problems, student-centered teaching and learning approaches are needed. I later improved my teaching design accordingly, such as adding activities to allow autonomous study, creating opportunities for student communication, raising more open questions to encourage creative thinking etc.
