As the new curriculum is carried out widely, schools and teachers are faced with new challenges and high requests and the development of teacher’s specialization has become the key factor of curriculum revolution. School-based research is no doubt an efficient and convenient approach to studying with the teacher as the main body and containing both research and studying which can promote the teacher’s professional quality, professional proficiency and the level of teaching and research and enhance schools’soft power. At present, the number of schools in rural area accounts for a large proportion of the primary education in our country. There are many factors to influence and restrict school-based research, for example, economic development being relatively backward, education and uneven allocation of resources, the overall level of teaching staff not high and so on, leading to many problems existing in school-based research, which affected the development of individual students and the talent of training. In order to improve the effect of school-based research carried out in rural areas, and the standard of teachers’ specialization in rural area, the author adopted the method of empirical research to find effective strategies based on finding and analyzing problems, by doing further detailed investigation in some rural schools in Shangzhi city. The article is made up of five parts.The first part is the introduction mainly to answer the background of the problems, the purpose and the significance of the research, the relevant literature review and the approaches of the research; The second part is the theoretical part of constructing, its main content is the basic idea of school-based research and practical basis which is stated in theory; The third part is the investigation of present situation of school-based research in rural schools of Shangzhi city, and analyzing the results of the research in two aspects of teachers’personal research and school-based research; The fourth part is the problems and analysis of causes in school-based research in rural schools in Shangzhi city, concluding there exist many problems to one degree or another in base construction of teaching and research, training arrangement, training methods adoption, training evaluation using, educational resources sharing and so on; The fifth part is about some strategies put forward about how to improve the school-based research in rural schools in six aspects: object management, process optimization, abundant content, form innovation, method update and promotion of results application, on the base of analyzing problems and causes in school-based research in rural schools of Shangzhi city.
