China, as a developing country, has been implementing Family planning policy for long time, and entering into "not rich first old" an aging society. Meanwhile, China has the urban-rural dual economic structure which make rural lag behind urban in many areas, such as economic and social security. A large number population which accounts for sixty percent of the total population live in rural. Along with the transfer of rural labor, the rural aging problem is more serious. It is very important for social stability and development in our country to solve the problems of the rural old-age, which also is a critical factor of building a new socialist countryside and a well-off society in an all-round way.The objects of this article is rural elderly. The need hierarchy theory and social support theory are the basis of this study. By questionnaire surveys and field research, the relevant information and data were collected. The author adopts the way of positive analysis to study the substance conditions,life attendances and the spirit of consolation of rural old-age. This paper analyses the relationship between social support and pension mode. The results show that economic support, life support and emotional support for rural elderly are inadequate; rural elderly's financial support, life support and emotional support significantly impact the choice of pension mode in rural areas. According to the analysis concluded, the author proposes some related proposals to solve the problem of rural elderly pension:we should establish a wide range of economic needs support, carry out multi-channel life care support, and focus on a wide range of spiritual comfort support to promot the development of family pension and social pension in rural...
