| Since the1970s, China began to implement the policy of Population and family planning, the number of National one-child families are increasing. As the pension resources that the one-child families can depend on are very limited compared to the non-one-child families, so the problem of one-child family pension worthy of attention and urgent need to address. Through the study of one-child parents, we can make the depth study of the social old-age security, and it also help improve China’s social pension system.In this study, the author tries to use the method of the combining of the quantitative research and qualitative research, and survey the six of Xi’an one-child families in the community. The author makes the questionnaires between the only-child and their parents, in order to understand their current basic living conditions, and the pension method that the only-child parents look forward to. Through the survey, we can get the conclusion:the pension method that the only-child families look forward to is the family-based old-age pension, supplemented by the model of social institutions; and showed a "community pension " is a more recognized and widely accepted way of pension; at the same time, during the only-child families inquired into, some only-child families which rather poor have the high degree of worry about retirement, and they will become high risk in the elderly.To the social problem of only-child families pension, the author tries to use the theory of social support network to put forward to the mode of the formal social support and the unofficial social support, which can solve the only-child parents pension problem. Because of the specificity of the only-child families, the function of the family pension is more and more weaken in the only-child families, so the construction of social support network is particularly important.
