| During my internship in K pension institution in Cangzhou City,the author observed and interviewed more than half of the elderly in the institution as an intern social worker.During this process,it was found that some families in the pension institution lacked care for the elderly: the children of the elderly in this group only paid the hospitalization fees regularly,and rarely visited and contacted the elderly during their stay.Compared with the ordinary old people in the institution,they lack enough family care and care,and compared with the special old people in the institution,they do not get extensive social attention.They have negative life attitude,lack of social interaction and low self-efficacy.Therefore,from the perspective of social work,it is necessary to provide care and support for these elderly people.In view of the above specific problems and causes of the elderly lacking family care in K pension institutions,the author mainly carries out services from the perspective of social support to help the elderly lacking family care reconstruct social support services.By providing care and support for the elderly through peers,caregivers,families and social forces,we can solve and make up for the lack of family care for the elderly.Specifically,the use of group work method,on the one hand,to establish in-hospital support,promote the mutual care between the elderly and the elderly,between the elderly and the nursing staff,jointly solve the problems and difficulties in the daily life of the elderly;On the other hand,out-of-hospital support should be established to strengthen the communication and contact between the elderly and their families,so as to feel the love of family and improve their own happiness.Meanwhile,volunteer resources should be introduced to enhance social attention and connection.Based on the summary and evaluation of the group activities for the elderly lacking family care in K institution,the author believes that the social support services for the elderly lacking family care in K institution can effectively solve the plight of the elderly in this group,and also provide reference value for the practical application of this group. |
