Guangqi Xu (1562-1633) was a politician, ideologist and scientist of Ming dynasty who is most famous for his work of the natural science. But we rarely know that in his early lifetime, he devoted to study Shijing. Though his research on Shijing is only a small part of his work, it is important to learn about his idea and view of science in his early stage.This article starts with the two literatures of Guangqi Xu, and mainly focus on three points: Chapter 1: review about his forepart idea from the characteristic of his research on Shijing;Chapter 2: summarize his opinion about the way to unscramble Shi;Chapter 3: discuss his comprehension about the significance of Shijing, observe and study the source of his idea, and summarize his cognition between the inner lyric hypostases and outside form of Shijing.
