Zhang jian, number one scholar in the last stage of Qing Dynasty, was a transitional person of the transitional society in the transitional era. The living time of Kin cangjiang was very similar to Zhang jian抯. Kin was the famous Korean patriot, historian, poet, proser and critic in the 19-20th centuty. Zhang and Kin firstly met in 1883.The reason of their meeting was the civil strife in Korea and Qing army entering into Korea. Zhang went to Korea as the confidential secretarial of Qmg army. Introduced by Kin yunzhi, who was the leader of student abroad of Korea, Zhang primitively met Jin cangjiang in the camp of Wu Changqing. This contact gave them nice and profound impression. Since Chinese-Japanese War in 1894, Japan instead of China owned suzerainty to Korea. Kin cangjiang would not like to be a slaver of foreign power, he seek refuge abroad to express his silent remonstration. un left Korea from Renchuan Harbor in September of 1905. Arranged by Zhang, Jin and all his family went to Nantong. Zhang arranged Jin as an editor in Hanmolin Press. The most important Chinese friends were the siblings of Zhang. Zhang treated Kin as a bosom friend.The friendship between Zhang and Kin had profound foundation. Kin self-consciously submitted to China in the ethical fountain and culture. Kin regarded China as his hometown. He had erudite diathesis in Chinese culture. The important reason of the friendship in the literary world was that they had extraordinary similar culture background, as well as both of them were feudal intellectuals. The affiliation between Zhang and Kin was a good example of Chinese and Korean intellectuals contact in history. The most characteristic of historical relationship between China and Korea was suzerain-tributary relation, which deeply impacted the connection of two countries and their people. In the cockles of their hearts, both Zhang and Kin had the special suzerain-tributary emotion. Although they grew in different countries, their living times were highly parallel. Patriotism is the significant factor uniting them. Kin seek refuge to China for the reason of loving his motherland, which was awfully understood by Zhang.In some degree, Zhang treated Kin with open arms was the hint of amity between China and Korea. The relationship between Zhang and Kin was absolutely equal. The individual relation broke through history and the narrow suzerain-tributary country relation. It is valuable for developing current affiliation between China and Korea.
