Objective:Summarize the clinical symptoms and physical sign of Occipital Nerve Compressive Syndrome.Define the diagnostic methods.Summarize clinical experience of treating Occipital Nerve Entrapment Syndrome with needle scalpel therapy.Method:Collected the cases of patients with primary complaints of headache in Acupuncture Department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital and picked those matching the Occipital Nerve Entrapment Syndrome.Analyzed the pathogenesis,symptoms and physical signResult:After unceasing clinical exploration and research of other doctors'experiences of treating Occipital Nerve Compressive Syndrome with needle scalpel,completed the diagnostic criteria:As to the patients with primary complaints of headache,if there is positive result or delayed positive result of Tinsel's Sign at the emerging point of the greater occipital nerve and lesser occipital nerve,Occipital Nerve Compressive Syndrome can be confirmed. Standardized the method of applying needle scalpel therapy.Conclusion:Defining patients as Occipital Nerve Compressive Syndrome with this criteria and applying needle scalpel therapy to release the adherent tissue at their affected part, will respite the headache caused by occipital nerve compression and other simultaneous symptoms,protect surrounding blood vessels and nerves,and prevent clinical accidents.
