Clinical Study On The Treatment Of KOA Patient With Water Needle Scalpel Therapy

Objective:KOA Knee Osteoarthritis is chronic,degenerative joint disease in knee joint, it is a common disease in clinical orthopedic. The main clinical manifestations of KOA are pain, swelling, with the joint’s stiffness, deformation limitation of movements and so on, and even cause the dysfunction and disability of the joint, influence the life quality of patients seriously. The main objectives of KOA focus on 1.Pain relief 2.1mprove functions 3.Delay the generation of articular cartilage, avoid or less the deformation. Water needle scalpel therapy of KOA has been applied in clinical, gets well effects according to the reports, it can relive pain and improve joint functions effectively. Water needle scalpel therapy combines advantages of the acupuncture, injection and needle knife therapy, combines the drug with the needle knife.It can play the roles of promoting blood circulation, relaxing sinew, removing the adhere, improving the uneven stress, and inflammatory by drugs.Chinese treatment is better effect in short-term treatments, but it is lack of united evaluation standard of clinical, is lack of clinical reports’ persuasion because of lacking of the serious technology design and statistics.The study through using of Water needle scalpel therapy to cure KOA,and observes the VAS score, LEquesne index (ISOA index of severity for osteoarthritis of hip and knee) and related indexes,discusses and evaluates the clinical effect of water needle scalpel therapy curing KOA.Method:This experiment is a multi-center clinical trails, three clinical hospitals each collects 30 standard patients, and there are 90 patients total in the experiment. The patients in each group are treated in the same method by the doctors who know the standard operation process, twice a week, the treatment period is two weeks. Record the VAS score, ISOA index (ISOA index of severity for osteoarthritis of hip and knee) respectively at the first day of treatment and two days after treatment. According to analysis of the observed index data, evaluate the clinical effect of Water needle scalpel therapy on KOA.Adopting excel 2003 to record data, spss20.0 software to analyze the dataMeasurement data adopts mean±standard deviation to describe, compares the before and after by t, and it is considered statistically significant while the P≤0.05.Result:The related index comparison of before and after:each group’s VAS pain scores and ISOA index are falling down obviously, the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05), comparing to the data before treatment. It shows the water needle scalpel therapy’s effect is obvious in each clinical experiment center.The unified analysis of three clinical experiment centers’ data shows the VAS pain scores and ISOA index are falling down obviously after the trail treatment, the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05).It shows the notable curative effect of patients after the treatment of water needle scalpel therapy.Split the ISOA index into three parts of daily life pain, walking distance (walking ability), activities of daily living.The scores of three parts are dropping obviously after the treatments of each group and this experiment.The difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). It shows the water needle scalpel therapy’s effect is obvious in curing daily life pain, walking ability, activities of daily living.According to the grading standard of ISOA index, dividing the experiment patients into medium, serious, very serious, extremely serious for groups.The severity scores of each group are decreased after the treatment. Difference is statistically significant (P<0.05) comparing the before treatment.According to the evaluation standard, the total efficiency of Baotou group is 100%, Guangzhou group is 100%, Wenzhou group is 93%,and the total efficiency of this experiment is 97%.There is no adverse events of patients in this experiment.Conclusion:The result of this research shows the applying of water needle scalpel therapy in curing KOA can relive the pain of patients’knee joint, improve knee joint functions, including the improve of walking ability and activities of daily living. And it is the safe and effective method to improve pain and functions of knee joint clinically.
