Complement Decoction For Treatment Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Lung And Spleen Kidney Deficiency, The Clinical Validation Of The Experiment

Objective: Butihuatan decoction therapy COPD patients with deficiency of qi in the lung, spleen and kidney. The research by observing their clinical effectiveness and collecting their results of Lung Function Tests,functional breath difficulty grade etc, provide clinical basis for the treatment of COPD with traditional Chinese medicine and also offer new ways and thoughts in the treatment of COPD after successful accomplishing its experimental study.Methods: Some patients with deficiency of qi in the lung, spleen and kidney were divided into 3 groups. They were control group 1(using western medicine), control group 2(using traditional Chinese medicine) and treatment group (using traditional Chinese medicine). Every group consisted of 16 patients. The control group by WM was were treated with drugs of bronchodilation,expectorants,oxygenotherapy etc. The control group by traditional Chinese medicine was were treated with Renshen(15g),Huangqi(20g),Shudi(10g),Wuweizi(6g),Ziwan(10g),Sangbaipi(10g),Danshen(10g),Baizhu(10g),Yizhiren(15g).Each treatment lasted for 2 mon.we detected each group the clinical effectiveness,FEV1%,TLC%,RV%,FRC%,changes of functional breath difficulty and evaluated their clinical effectiveness.Results: The FEV1% results of control group 1,.control group 2 and treatment group were not obviously difference(P>0.05) before we treated some patients.But the FEV1% results of control group 2 and treatment group were increased after successful accomplishing treatment. The FEV1% results before we treated some patients were obviously difference(P<0.05)than the results of after successful accomplishing treatment. control group 2 and treatment group had better curative effects than control group 1. Treatment group had better effect than control group 1 and 2. The treatment results of TLC%,RV%,FRC%,changes of functional breath difficulty is the same with the FEV1% results.Conclusion: Butihuatan decoction had evident effect on the treatment of COPD. Its clinical effectiveness is the best in the 3 groups. Butihuatan decoction can reinforce Lung function,relieve the clinical symptoms,reduce airflow obstruction,improve pulmonary volume and the function of respiration,increase curative effect etc. To provide clinical basis for the treatment of COPD with traditional Chinese medicine and also offer new ways in the treatment of COPD.
