Objective:To study XiaoPiZhiTong San' restraint effects of hyperplasia of mammary glands, and to observe its analgesic action and anti-inflammatory action.Methods:1. 60 unpregnant healthy female SD rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group. 15 SD rats in normal group were poured into water 50 days continuously. In contrast to model group, 5 SD rats were killed and cut mammary glands. The other 10 SD rats in normal group were poured into water 20 days continuously. 45 SD rats in model group were injected with estradiol 40 days continuously, and were injected with progesterone 10 days continuously, 5 SD rats were killed and used opitical glass to observe successful models. The other 40 SD rats were randomly divided into model-contrasted group, XiaoPiZhiTong San high-dose (XPZT-H)group, XiaoPiZhiTong San low-dose(XPZT-L)group, positive group. Model-contrasted group were poured into water 20 days continuously, XPZT-Hwere given high-dose 20 days continuously, XPZT-L were given low-dose 20 days continuously, positive group were applied RuTong Tie 20 days continuously, 24 hour later the breast tissue were sliced and observed morphologically, the microscopic leaflets. acinis and tubes' diameters were counted, and the typical pictures were chosen to record specimens.2. 40 unpregnant healthy female KM mice were randomly divided into normal group, XPZT-H, XPZT-L, positive group. Every group was given different medicine. The method of hot-board test was observed XiaoPiZhiTong San'analgesic action.3. 40 healthy KM mice were randomly divided into normal group, XPZT-H, XPZT-L, positive group. Every group was given different medicine. The method of writhing test was observed XiaoPiZhirong San'analgesic action.4. 40 healthy KM mice were randomly divided into normal group, XPZT-H, XPZT-L, positive group. Every group was given different medicine. The method of auricle swelling test was observed XiaoPiZhiTong San'anti-inflammatory action.5. 40 healthy SD rats were randomly divided into normal group, XPZT-H, XPZT-L, positive group. Every group was given different medicine. The method of foot-swelling test was observed XiaoPiZhiTong San'anti-inflammatory action.Results:1. SD rats were given medicine, comprison between normal and model groups, model group and treatment groups all showed significant differences(P<0.01), and XPZT-H and XPZT-L showed significant differences(P<0.05). Pathological histo-logical observation proved: Rats hyperplasia of mammary glands in the model group as diffuse, moreacinucandsmall lobes, less fat and connective tissue, enlarged acinus cavity and gland duct. Compared with model group, the treatment group showed much less acinic and lobes, and XPZT-H is more significant improvement than XPZT-L. This experiment points out that XiaoPiZhiTong San has obvious restraint effects of hyperplasia of mammary glands, and XPZT-H group is more significant.2. KMmiceweregivenmedicine, in contrast to normal grouop, XPZT-Hand positive group all showed significant differences(P<0.01), XPZT-L showed less significant differences than XPZT-H(P<0.05), XPZT-H and XPZT-L showed significant differences(P<0.01). This experiment points out that XiaoPiZhiTong San has obvious effects of analgesia, and XPZT-H group is more significant.3. SO rats were given medicine, in contrast to normal grouop, treatment groups all showed significant differences(P<0.05), XPZT-H and XPZT-L showed not significant difference(P>0.05). This experiment points out that XiaoPiZhiTong San has obvious effects of anti-inflammatory, and there is no difference between XPZT-H and XPZT-L group.Conclusion:The research proved: XiaoPiZhiTong San has obvious restraint effects of hyperplasia of mammary glands, and has notable effects of analgesia and anti-inflam matory. The higher the dosage, the more significant the actions. These actions provide effective basis to the treatments of hyperplasia of mammary glands, and preliminarily confirm its effects of efficacy.
