| Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands(HMG) is one of the disease high happening in mammary gland during the pregnant and perinatal period . Following the progressing of the clinical and experimental research of acupuncture, it's effects on the Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands become bigger and bigger. But these modern research lack of reliable gist of clinic and Experimental in treat HMG by electric-acupuncture. Based the factors, after went over modern medical research and Chinese medicine documents, we observed estrogen and progesterone level in order to electric-acupuncture's effects on the lever of hormone in hyperplasia of mammary glands.Much hormone targets on the mammary gland, especially estrogen and progesterone. The deficiency of progesterone's esudation in the luteal period and the high esudation of estrogen absolutely or relatively is the central factor leading to HMG .In clinical study, 60 patients undergoing HGM were divided into 2 groups randomly, electric-acupuncture group (EA group)and tamoxifen group(TAM group). We used tanzhong, qimen,sanyinjiao and ganshu appoints as chief acupuncture points ,adding tianzong, rugen, jianjing,ashi,yanglingquan and taichong. Acupuncture method: choose all chief points and 1-2 assistant points every time, use G6805 model acupuncture Elecetro-unit, 10-20 HZ of the flucency, spacing wave. It lasts 30 minutus. TAM group: take TAM 10mg every time,2 times/day. We detected blood estradiol benzoates(E2),progesterone by radioimmunoassay in luteal phase before and after treatment and examined the positive samples as well.In the animal experiment, we induced rat's mastoplasia by stimulation of abnormal hormone and divided the rats into four groups randomly, normal control group(NC group),model control group(MC group), electric-acupuncture group (EAgroup)and tamoxifen group(TAM group).After the succeed of making the model ofHDB, we used two factors as electric-acupuncture and tamoxifen to treat HMG, then observed the level of estradiol benzoates(E2), progesterone, and detected the height of teats before and after treatment, extirpated the third pairs mammary glands to make pathological sections, observed the histological structure of mammary glands under microscope, and examined the numbers of lobule of mammary glands and diameters of acinus cavities and catheter as well.In the clinical study, our results are:l.The cure rate of EA group was 40.0%,TAM group's was 43.3%.It has no statistical significance.2.The levels of serum E2 of all groups were decreased while the levels of serum P were increased (P<0.01) after treatment. The data between before and after treatment had significance, but the same between EA group and TAM group had no statistical significance. It can be concluded that electric-acupuncture can regulate the hormone in luteal period, and the function is near to tamoxifen's.Results of animal experiment show:1 .The height of teats of all groups were generally increased especially for MC group and is change compared with NC group was markedly significant (P<0.01). However, the heights of the third pairs of teats of EA group and TAM group were significantly reduced when compared with that in the MC group(P<0.05),especially between TAM group and MC group(P<0.01).The same change in comparing with NC group (PO.05) .2.Numbers of lobule of mammary glands is low in NC group, diaments of acinus's cavities is normal, and the mammary pipe epidermis is rule. But it was contrary in MC group, the mammary pipe epidermis is disorder, epidermis hyperlasia is obvious, diaments of acinus's cavities became more than NC group. It explained the succeed of the model of HMG. It is near the result of TAM group and AE group to NC group.3.The levels of E2 and P in all groups after treatment were detected, thereinto thelevels of E2 in MC group is obviously higher than NC group (P<0.01), the levels ofP in MC group is obviously lower than NC group (PO.01) .The comparison of thelevel of E2 between EA group, TAM group and MC group had significance(P<0.05) ,as the same, these groups' levels of P had increased differently.From all above study, we conclude: 1. electric-acupuncture can change the mammary gland configuration of the model rats, rule he mammary pipe epidermis, alleviate the dilatation extent of diaments of acinus's cavities, consequently cure HMG.2.electric-acupuncture cure HMG by regulating the levels of E2 and P, controlling the hyperplasia of the mammry glands.3.The effect of electric-acupuncture on the HMB is near medicine, and has good effect on the level of HMG's hormone. There has not been found any side effects of hormone medicine. This shows that AE had good prospect of clinical application.
