A questionnaire survey was used to describe the nursing student's perception and advice of humanities and social science curriculums provision. Results: After statistical analysis of 19 schools' curriculum program of 1998, the situation of humanities and social science curriculums provision in baccalaureate nursing education in 1998 was that there were fewer subjects and there was no optional course in the curriculums provision. Except political science and English, all the periods of the humanities and social science curriculums were only 4.08 percent of the total academic periods. After statistical analysis of 47 schools' curriculum program in 2006, the situation of humanities and social science curriculums provision in baccalaureate nursing education of 2006 was that there were more subjects and there were 76.6 percent of schools which had optional course in the curriculums provision. Except political science and English all the periods of the humanities and social science curriculums were 7.37 percent of the total academic periods. Nursing Psychology, Nursing Principles of Management, Nursing English, Nursing Ethnics should to be obligatory courses in the students' opinion, the other courses should to be optional course and most of them should be setted as mini-course.Conclusion: There was a material change between the situation of 1998 and 2006 of humanities and social science curriculums provision in baccalaureate nursing education, the significant change was that there were more subjects and periods of humanities and social science course.
