Pearson chi-square test was used to examine results. P<0.05 meant statistically difference between groups. Results:The survey 1 of the first part investigated a total of 212 undergraduate and graduate students in the Fourth Military Medical University. Among them, 94.3% of the students thought the professional humanities quality education is very important, 74.1% of the students thought the proportion of humanity quality education overall curriculum should be improved in the university. In "reason of affecting the humanity quality education curriculum learning", the graduates' major choices were "lack of qualified teachers" and "school not giving too much attention," the undergraduates' major choice was "heavy course assignments", there were statistical differences between undergraduates and graduates(P<0.05). Respondents wished that the humanity quality education curriculum teaching methods are lectures(57.1%) and practice(50.0%), and the method and assessment of the course are practice examination(33.5%). Career planning and employment guidance of dental medicine"(63.7%), "dental health policy and regulations"(62.7%) and "dental health service management"(56.6%) were the most desirable courses to learn among all the respondents. The survey 2 of the first part surveyed the dental graduates(70 students) of the fourth and fifth class in Xi'an Jiaotong University and the graduates(78 students) with the same grades in the Fourth Military Medical University. Among them, 92.6% of the respondents believed that the professional humanities quality education courses were very important for professional growth. 73.3% of the respondents thought that the professional humanities quality education courses were not enough in universities. Among the established courses of professional humanistic quality education survey, course attendance and the approval rates of learning effect were only 68.2% and 68.2%, where Mac Millan Separation Phenomenon was observed. Considering the question "reasons of affecting the humanity quality education curriculum learning", undergraduates of Xi'an Jiaotong University mainly chose the "heavy course assignments" and "boring course content" course content, undergraduates of the Fourth Military Medical University mainly chose "heavy course assignments" and "unreasonable curriculum provision", there were statistical differences between them(P<0.05). The expected way of study, course teaching and assessment were similar with the results in the first part. The second part investigated a total of 150 dentists in Xi'an and Guangzhou areas. 94.0% of them thought professional humanities quality education being important for career growth, 77.3% of them thought the proportion of the professional humanities quality education in university course should be increased. Furthermore, they thought medical universities should offer the humanity quality course of "dental aesthetics", curriculum time was more tending to be set in undergraduate grade 4 and grade 5. The expected course teaching and assessment were similar with the results in the first part. The third part included a total of 848 patients in stomatological hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University, among 79.4% of which thought professional humanistic quality was more important to dentist than professional standards. Respondents thought the dentist should firstly strengthen the professional humanistic quality of "dentist-patient communication"(70.8%), "the dental aesthetics"(53.4%) and "dental medico-psychology"(43.3%). In addition, the results of "factors affecting the effects of dental treatment", "dentists should strengthen professional humanistic quality" and "the effective methods to improve doctor-patient relationship" were same with the results of the patients in part three basically. Conclusion:Dental university students, dentists, patients and the public all considered that the dental humanity quality education curriculum being very important, but the current situation is lack of enough emphasis on the part of courses still, the varieties of the courses is limited and the force-feeding education teaching method is dominated still. Therefore, in order to improve the dental students learning interests and rich the professional humanistic quality of dentists, we should increase dental humanism quality curriculum appropriately and we should change the teaching method. According to the arrangement of professional courses, we should adjust the class time of professional humanity quality education course, in order to make a sequential curriculum. Moreover, we should enhance dental health propaganda and education and optimize dental treatment procedure, and improve the laws and regulations. The media should advocate medical science and knowledge, and they should build the medical treatment a positive model, and this will definitely contribute its share to build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.
