Anorexia has become a common and frequently-occurring disease at thedepartment of pediatrics now. The disease calls both parents and medicinecircles'attention for its affection to children's growth and physicaldevelopment. Point EX-UE10 is the specific point for the treatment of childinfantile malnutrition (gan disease in TCM), which has the similar causes andpathogenesis with the disease of anorexia. So EX-UE10 has been widely used totreat child anorexia for the last twenty years. According to the analysis onthe last 20 years'documents about using EX-UE10 to treat child anorexia, itis found that the locations of EX-UE10 and the standards of diagnosis andtreatmentaredifferent;mostarticlesarenarrativeoronlyexperts'opinions, while seldom are based on the clinic research with randomly grouped cases;research on the curative effect of EX-UE10 is quite rare.So this article studiesthe clinic effects of EX-UE10 in the treatment of child anorexia, and discussesthe specific location of EX-UE10 and its mechanism through clinic research onrandomly grouped cases.Methods92 cases are randomly distributed into the blank group, EX-UE10 treatmentgroup and the near part control group. 90 cases have finished the whole researchcourse and the other two dropped. Patients of the blank group come to the cliniconce a week for a month, altogether four times without any treatment. Onlyobserve their related data before and after the month. Patients of the treatmentgroup are pricked on EX-UE10 points on one hand and on the other next time, andthey also come to the clinic once a week altogether four times. Patients of thecontrolgroupareprickedonthenearpart(themiddlepointofthefartherfingerjoints compared to EX-UE10). They have the same treatment with the treatmentgroupexceptthattheprickinglocationsaredifferent.Standardsforevaluationon the curative effects include the changes before and after the month on thedata of the patients'appetites, capacity for eating, abdominal subcutaneousfat, height, weight, Quetelet index, table of measuring clinic symptoms withscores, and test results of HGB, RBC, trace elements Zn, Fe, Ca, Mg, Cu. Thedatum line of the three groups is good, and they are quite comparable (P>0.05).Results1.Cliniceffectiverateandsyndromeeffectiverate:thetreatmentgroup'sand control group's effective rates are 93.3% and 80% respectively. Comparedto the blank group (13.3%), there is a significant difference through X2 test.
