Horseshoe Abscess Incision Double Seton Drainage Treatment Of High

Objective to try to find a better surgical procedure in the treatmentof high horseshoe-shaped abscess and to rise the surgical result. Toreduce postoperative complications and to alleviated patients'pain.Method 60 patients suffering from posterior elevation abscess ofhorseshoe shape around the anorectum were divided into two groups-theobserving group and the control group randomly with either grouphaving 30 cases. Incision and double thread-drawing drainage was usedin the observing group while hanging line drainage by multipleincisions of radian shape was used in the control group. The healingrates, sequela after healing, healing time,, quantity of scars anddegree of pain when changing dress in the two groups were observedand compared.Result 28 out of 30 such cases were cured by this treatment, the curerate was 93.3%, NO complications (P>0. 05), The healing time of theobserving group was 26. 67 ±2. 97days while that of the control groupwas 38.41+3.56 days. 2 case in the observing group had wet feelingaround the anus and sensory incontinence while the control group had9 such cases. The patients in the observing group had lighter painin dressing change and fewer scars when compared with the controlgroup.Conclusion The way used in the observing group have advantages overthat of the control group, less surgical in jury, less in pain, shortertreatment course, primary radical operation and better protecting theanal functions.
