Pharmacodynamic Studies. Nourishing And Anti-itch Capsule In Treating Itchy Skin Disease,

Objective To observe curative effect of Yang Xue Zhi Yang capsule on two kinds of animals. One local skin pruritic model is produced by Histamine on guinea-pig,the other is blood-deficiency induced by APH in naturally senile rat .We try to assess and explore its potential mechanism of curing pruritus senilis.Methods 1. The guinea-pigs were randomized into five groups including the large dose,middle dose and minor dose group,the modeled group and Chlorpheniramine control group. We measured the number of times and accumulated dose of Histamine,which was smeared on the guinea-pigs right dorsum of foot . 2. The 6-month-old rats were regarded as comparing group of young normal control group,and the 22- month-old rats were randomized into five groups including the large dose,middle dose and minor dose group,the modeled group and senile normal control group. It was measured RBC,Hb,sex hormon,sexual organ and pathological morphologic changing researched of sebaceous glands to observe the effect of Yang Xue Zhi Yang capsule.Results 1. Vang Xue Zhi Yang capsule at large /middle dose showed significantly effect on raising the itching limen of guinea-pig (P< 0. 01/P< 0.001) .2,Yang Xue Zhi Yang capsule at large /middle dose-showed significantly effect on elevating the amounts of RBC,lib in rats(P< 0.05) . 3. Yang Xue Zhi Yang capsule at large /middle dose showed significantly effect on raising E T PO and weight of sexual organ(P< 0. 05/P< 0.01) in rats.4.It was showed that Yang Xue Zhi Yang capsule at large dose has significantly effect on raising number ofsebaceous glands(P< 0. 05),and capsule at large dose showed signi f icantly effect on increase sebaceous gland secretion (P< 0.01) in rats.Conclusion Yang Xue Zhi Yang capsule has better effect on stopping itch,tonic therapy,raising the level of sex hormon and stimulating sebaceous gland secretion. These experimental results provide some basis for the treatment of pruritus snelis by Yang Xue Zhi Yang capsule.
