Hyperhidrosis Treatment Of Diabetes From The Spleen

In this article, diabetes hyperhidrosis was studied based on the theory of phlegm due to spleen deficiency. The anatomy range of spleen in TCM was discussed first and it was suggested that pancreas in modern medicine was included. Based on the understanding of spleen functions according to Zang-Fu manifestations theory and modern study of pancreas functions and pathology of diabetes, it was believed that spleen deficiency was deeply related to insulin resistance. How spleen deficiency was related to diabetes development was discussed and it was concluded that spleen failing to transport due to deficiency could lead to diabetes. Pathogenesis of diabetes hyperhidrosis was studied according this theory. It was believed that diabetes hyperhidrosis was caused by phlegm due to spleen deficiency because of diabetes lasting for long. Therefore, strengthening spleen to resolve phlegm should be the basic treatment, which was preventive treatment of diabetes hyperhidrosis.
