Recently, as the rapid development of network technology and J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) platform widely used, the multi-layer web architecture based on B/S pattern is becoming more and more mature. The Model-View-Controller pattern has been used widely, it overcomes not only the traditional web application's drawbacks, but also separates the control and performance of data, and meets the demand of the multi-layer web application which became more and more complex.This paper combined with the current situation of the development of information management system and the actual needs of military equipment management, applied the modern enterprise information technology to the information management of military equipment, designed and implemented a B/S based on equipment information management system which based on J2EE architecture and MVC design pattern. The system architecture is used in this system, and the openness, reliability, security and reusability of the system is guaranteed by the use of some open-source frameworks such as Struts and Hibernate.Above all, this paper put forward the development background of the system, introduced some crucial technologies of the system development are introduced. Then the whole scheme is proposed on the system demanding analysis and how to achieve the objectives. Particularly, the function and database design of the system are descended at length. Then the paper gives how to implement each module of the system. Finally, the objective evaluation of the system is given by a comprehensive system test and an optimization scheme is put forward considering the defects of the system in this thesis.
