The signal source is an indispensable tool of modern electronic application system. It has wide range of applications in communications, measurement, navigation and other fields.In this paper, the design and implementation of a certain telemetry signal simulate source system is introduced in details.The telemetry signal analog source system is a special equipment. It used to give signals to analog signal processors and telemetry components. Not only does it generate analog signals with the function, but also with other parameters of the calibration function.The system is used to give custom signals to products. It compared with signals which get through products, then to determine whether the product is qualified. In order to compare accuracy of the products, it needs to deal with the input interface impedance measurement and each channel of the transmission coefficient calibration.In this paper, it introduces the subject's research background, research requirments, key technology theory DDS (direct digital frequency synthesis) and virtual instrument technology. It contains DDS's fundamental principles, structures, advantages and disadvantages. And it also contains virtual instrument technology's basic concepts, system structure and characteristics.Secondly, the paper describes software and hardware design of telemetry signal analog source system .And 50-channels signal part and the resistance calibration part are described in details. Moreover, it uses the Verilog hardware description language to carriy out the CPLD's logic design. Host Computer software uses NI's Labview8.2 as a development environment. Besides the design of software, it specifies the relevant communication format.Finally, the paper summarizes the main results of the work and puts forward the views.
