During the lifting process of the winded mine hoist with one rope, the steel wire rope is winded on the hoist drum for multi-layer. So the rotational inertia of hoist motor must be changed. At the same time, because of the influence of external environment and working condition, the parameters of the mine hoist must be changed too. The traditional controller doesn't adjust the controller parameters to the changes of controlled object. The rotational inertia, electromechanical time constant and electromagnetic time constant of mine hoist are identified through using the system identification technology. The controller parameters are adjusted to the change of hoist parameters through using the adaptive control. This is an effective way to improving hoist control performance. The paper discusses and probes into the application of adaptive control in mine hoist direct-current velocity modulation system. Firstly, the developing processes of system identification and adaptive control and introduced, then the study results at home and abroad recently are discussed in detail. Secondly, the emulation about mine hoist DC-motor is done, and state space model of mine hoist DC-motor is got. At the same time, system states are estimated by BP neural net and the structure of adaptive pole assignment based neural states estimation is brought forward. At last, the software and hardware of data acquisition system which are used in system identification are designed. The identification arithmetic is achieved through mixed programming techniques between VB and MATLAB.
