Along with the increasing deterioration of water resource in reservoirs, it has become into an important research topic to strengthen the mechanism in water quality supervision, evaluation and prediction in order to ensure the security of drinking water resource in reservoir. On the basis of real-time monitoring and management on water resource, it will be of profound realistic significance to establish a set of scientific and effective decision support system in water resource protection as well.Based on implementation of automatic supervising system on water quality and quantity in Miyun Reservoir, this paper is mainly on the design and application of water resource protection decision support system by using various forecasting and valuation models, according to the characteristics of water resource in Miyun Reservoir. There are mainly four modules in this system, which are water quality precaution, forecasting, supervising management and water quality evaluation, with the main contents of function design in water quality evaluation, eutrophication pollution evaluation, combining evaluation of water quality and quantity as well as tendency analysis evaluation. By means of this system, it can reach the aim of real-time monitor for reservoir in water environment, as well as prevention of water pollution.The design for this system is based on WINDOWS platform and J2EE standard, adopting the ArcGIS platform and Oracle database. The spatial database and attribute database are both used one Oracle case for management. Meanwhile, this system adopted the dynamic interactive technology in order to realize interaction between users and system conveniently.In short, the establishment of this system will improve the water ecosystem of Miyun Reservoir. Furthermore, it can achieve the goal of effective management in water resources, which will provide a kind of scientific information method for rational allocation of water resources.
