Regional Water Quality Forecasting Decision Support System Research And Development

Decision Support System (DSS) helps to make decision quantitatively. Using it can improve the effect of decision and amend system management. So DSS has become one of favorite study in information domain. On the other hand, water quality management is a complex system that involves many subjects and factors. Its quality will direct affect people daily life and economy development. Therefore, it is a very meaningful work to design a decision support system for water quality management.According to the actual condition, this paper treats water quality management as study plant, focus on building up water quality prediction models and realizing a decision support system for water quality prediction based on Web technology.First, the concept, basic framework, correlative technologies and development tendency of DSS is discussed in detail. The status of water environment management in China is analyzed, the worth and significance of the DSS for water quality prediction based on Web technology is given too.Second, a new water quality model based on ANN and AR is proposed. And simulation results, which use the actual data from the automation monitor station, are given. On the other hand, all kinds of modified BP algorithms are discussed in the optimization techniques and compared with speed and memory, different problem types applied to those algorithms are proposed.Third, according to the time-series character about water quality, a new data mining technique based on time-series trending structure series is proposed and is used on the water quality prediction. The time series set waiting for mining is first converted into its trending structure series set, and then the information underlying in the latest time sub-series of the time-series trending structure series is used as a guide to excavate the original time series.
