As one of the most attractive field of the application of computer science in economic management, DSS (Decision support system), has currently become the optimized solution and method. When applied to managing and forecasting the regional water quality, DSS can lead to a much more systemized,scientific and simplified decision from categories' of the water quality management bureau, so it possess expansive and booming prospects and big application merit.Centralized the technology of DW (data warehouse), with the method of OLAP (on-line analytical process) and DM (data mining) technology, the DSS based on DW supply assistance and support for the decider during decision making, through collecting,gathering,conforming,processing and analysing the resource of data information, result in the scientific,correct and effective decision.Mainly there are three parts of research included in this thesis: realization of DW based on MATLAB, realization of OLAP based on MATLAB, water quality forecasting based on the BP algorithm.The ACCESS water quality data base was transformed into SQL Sever 2000 water quality data warehouse, and the call of the water quality data from DW via MATLAB was accomplished.We accomplished the analysis and exhibition of OLAP based on the water quality DW, using Excel to link MATLAB and OLAP together, thus exhibited the OLAP result with MATLAB successfully, main function: slice,dice,roll up or drill down, pivoting and etc.Through the comparation of the ameliorated BP algorithm and standard BP algorithm (the relevant result of training and simulation was exhibited), testified the validity of Levenberg-Marquardt BP algorithm, and finally accomplished the prediction of water quality data based on LMBP.In the last part, summarized the whole thesis and prospected the future work.
