As a traditional military data bus, MIL-STD-1553B has become the main data bus of modern airborne systems with its high reliability and agility. Optical fiber communication not only has the advantage of high speed data transfer, but also decreases the long distance electromagnetic interference. The FC-AE-1553 based on MIL-STD-1553B and Optical fiber communication combines the advantage of MIL-STD-1553B with the great network attribute of Optical fiber communication. The technology this thesis involved has deep significance in avionics system development.The thesis gives a detailed research on correlative technonlgy of FC-AE-1553. The thesis introduces the Fibre Channel protocol and the MIL-STD-1553B, and then educes the analysis and design of FC-AE-1553. It also analyzes the standard of FC-AE to get further understand on FC-AE-1553. For Fiber Channel, the thesis introduces the points of its layered module with its realization. For MIL-STD-1553B, the thesis not only introduces its theory and structure, but also stands out the excellence of FC-AE-1553 by contrasting it to FC-AE-1553. For FC-AE-1553, the thesis mainly introduces its information units, exchange formats, frame format and protocol clock.Based on the deep study on FC-AE-1553, the thesis introduces a design of its interface with FPGA as the controller and VerilogHDL as the programmer. By the design, it can realize the hardware of Network Controller and Network Terminal. The thesis also explains the software design of Network Controller and Network Terminal with their control panels in detail.At last, the thesis tests the module. The results show that the theoretical research of FC-AE-1553 technology in this research assists its hardware and software design very well. Meanwhile, the results also indicate that the design of NC and NT is correct with its applied value.
