Embedded Web server is a product that is combined with the development of embedded technology and Internet technology. Compared with traditional Web server, embedded Web server is simple, small, reliable and convenient. By installing a built-in Web server in embedded system, users may have access to the equipments via browser at any computer which is connected to the Internet. So it is worth to research embedded Web server for its extremely high application.The realization of the embedded Web server based on S3C2410 CPU with the Kernel of ARM920T is mainly explained in this thesis. Firstly, the application background and develop situation of the embedded Web server is introduced. And then the hardware and software development platform is introduced, of which the building of software development environment is mainly described including building of cross tools, porting of VIVI, porting of Linux kernel 2.6.20, making of root file system CRAMFS and YAFFS. Secondly, the architecture of the device driver program under Linux 2.6 kernel is analyzed, and the core code of the A/D convert driver and network driver is given. Thirdly, the porting of BOA server and database SQLite is discussed. At last, a remote monitoring and control system is designed and developed by using CGI program to realize the functions of interactive Web pages between client and server. This system has realized user authentication and users management. The user who has logged in the system may set parameters, open A/D convert, close A/D convert and query the history data.Test shows the system holds relative good universality, practicality and scalability which can be used in the development of the embedded Web server applications.
