Omap-embedded Linux-based Information Collection Instrument Design

Embedded system is the combination of computer technology, electronic technology and special application. That is why embedded system is full of continuous innovation, is made up with high technology and costs much money. Nowadays, embedded system is blooming in variable fields of human life.With fast development of Electrical Power System of our country, the demand of intelligentization of electric network increases day by day. And the intelligentization of Transformer Substation over our country is the most urgent task.We designed and accomplished the Equipment Information Instrument based on OMAP5910 and Embedded Linux, which is the core instrument of Equipment Information System for Transformer Substation.The thesis discussed the design and the development of the Equipment Information Instrument. It first elucidated the development of embedded system, the background of the design and detail tasks. Then, it introduced the development plat for Omap5910 and Embedded System-Linux OS. The overall system framework, hardware design, software design and system tests was stressed subsequently. The last part of the thesis, the conclusion and prospect of the whole system are given.
