Research And Implementation Of Embedded WEB Server Based On Linux

With the rapid popularization of Internet and development of embedded device, it's a inevitable trend to enable embedded instruments to access Internet. The embedded web server is used in embedded device to realize http server, which provides access interfaces based on web browser for users, in addition, makes the embedded instruments remote management and maintenance easier.This paper studied and implemented the embedded web server named Boa, which took Samsung corporation's ARM9-S3C2440AL processor as hardware core and embedded Linux operating system as software platform. Introduces the process of building system developing platform:including establishes Bootloader, minimizes the Linux kernel by getting ride of such modules and processes that aren't required and adds webcam driver and network card(DM9000) driver to the kernel, then transplants the kenrnel to the board. the yaffs file system is built and transplants. Moreover, studies intensively how to realize web server and how to combine Boa and CGI realize dynamic interaction, besides, implements a remote video monitoring system based on B/S. Afterwards, Modifies Boa server source code, make it support multi-user authentica, which highly enhance Boa web server using in embedded system. At last, The experimental result of the embedded Web Server shows that it responding rapidly and operates efficiently and steadily and achieves the expectant designing purpose.
