With the rapid development of broadband services of the major telecommunications carriers, and the increasing demand for broadband access, it has became urgent for the operators to build a simple structured, high-speed, secured and reliable broadband access networks. Although xDSL is the current main broadband IP network access mode, it can not meet the new demands of users. As the access mode to today's broadband IP network, but its downlink rate may decline sharply because of the transmission distance, cable size, interference and other factors, which may affect the users. With the rapid development of the various types of high rate services prompts the traditional electric signal transmission in the IP access network to change into optical fiber transmission. So XPON technology comes up. The technology has features of flexible network, and can provide rich resources. It mainly follows the IEEE802.3ah or ITU. TG984.x agreement, and uses to-multipoint topology and passive optical components, and the fiber can extends to the last kilometre near the client. WLAN technology is the combine of the computer network and wireless communication technology, it transmits data through the wireless channel and can work just as LAN do. This technology roots from the 802.1X standard.Based on the intensive research of three main types of broadband access technology, this article compares their advantages and disadvantages, regulates the eleven scenarios, and provides a theoretical basis and model for the choice of the specific access technology of broadband access network in construction. After the research of China Unicom Henan Branch's online-application, and the Indepth analysis of the existing problems, this article offers a reasonable optimization of the programs.
