The Research And Realization On Open-source E-learning System Base On Linux Platform

Open-source software is developped by open-source amateur, team or the business in the world and the source code is published at the open-source community, and anyone can use and revise it freely without copyright limit. Along with open-source software's development, more and more enterprises use the open-source software to construct and improve the software system, It is very important to the enterprise. At present the small and medium-sized enterprises are facing a similar difficult situation. Under existing network environment of the enterprise, the enterprise function demand is realized by choosing operating system such as Unix or Windows which is in charge, as well as some other charge application software. This will create great cost burden inevitably to the enterprise. They urgently hope that one kind of system and software is free, without copyright limit, simultaneously can meet their own demand function.This article uses Open-Source software sakai that is applicated for CMS at foreign university,we will achieve a set of E-Learning system. Although Sakai is only used at foreign university, it is seldom used in the enterprise. The article take the IT authentication training center as its breakthrough, improve its function, let's suit the IT training enterprise. This project embarks on IT training enterprise by replacinging the university application's curriculum with the international IT authentication curriculum. Because of the international IT authentic cation test, such as MCSE, CCNA, the result will be displayed immediately when it commited. It can tell the tester whether passed the test or not.This set of network teaching system adopts to take "Linux+JAVA+TOMCAT+ SAKAI+MYSQL+ECLIPSE" as an architecture. But the functions of Sakai cann't conform to this project completely, so it needs to make re-development of some codes. Because Sakai is based on the B/S pattern platform, it must use Tomcat as support. Database only supported with ORACLE as well as MYSQL at present, this project used MYSQL to take the backstage database. The system is completely made up of opens-source code software, completely free, not only can meet the deman d,even their functions will not inferiorer than the business software.
