MILSTD1553B (Aircraft internal time division system command /response multiplex data bus transfer) is an airborne serial multiplex avionics bus standard in accordance with real time, data integrity and system anti-interference. Laid by U.S.A's military,initially used in avionics electronics system,due to its good performance, has been widely used in the militarization of the different platforms. At the same time, as the computer bus technology updated continuously, PCI bus gets rapid development with its good bus transfer, high frequency clock and plug and play and some other advantages.As entered the 21st century, with the successful launch of Shenzhou 6, Shenzhou 7, Chang'e 2 etc, China has achieved rapid development in the aerospace field. At the same time, a large number of terminal equipment are needed to carry out air-air, ground-air,ground-ground,communication.Because the superiority of the avionics bus, boards based on such bus have been used in a wide range of applications.Based on the above analysis, the issue proposes a design which could can realize MILSTD1553B air communication protocol based on FPGA, XILINX's FPGA takes the responsibility as the main controller, the external circuits are made up of nearly five parts:the PCI signals conversion between host computer and FPGA module,1553B data storage module,1553B signal conversion and coupling module, program memory module, power module etc. The verilog hardware description language is logical programmed to control its external modules, according to the MILSTD1553B agreement, the board achieves the function of data transceivering, memory controling, and PC communication etc,in physical layer.The topic also describes analysis about some technical difficulties appeared in the realization of functional in the windows XP/Linux/VxWorks operating system software driver debugging situation, and gives some relevant measured waveforms.This chapter consists of 6 chapters,60 figures,15 diagrams and 20 references.
