This thesis is aimed to research and design an avionics data communications system based on FPGA. Gathering, sending, receiving and forwarding avionics data can be accomplished in this system. Meanwhile, RS code/decode implemented with FPGA is used for error resilience.Software:The exchange and communication of avionics data have been implemented based on VHDL. In order to improve the ability of anti-jamming, RS code/decode is applied to the original data and BM Arithmetic is used in decoding process during the exchange of avionics date. The error correction performance of RS code/decode is simulated in Matlab, and the results show that the error rate of the avionics data is reduced obviously.Hardware: In terms of module design, the system has divided into ARINC429 data receiving board and ARINC429 data sending board. The FPGA is the core of the system. The hardware circuits for the multi-force sensor data, voice data and radar video data are designed respectively, and the communications protocol is established. Experiments show that the system is able to transmit avionics data reliably at a high speed.
