An avionics data communications system based on serial bus is designed and implemented in this thesis combined with the development of the serial bus technology and the integration of the airborne avionics both at home and abroad. This thesis introduces the channel coding technology firstly, and puts stress upon the principle and the realization of Hamming code and Cycling Redundancy code. Moreover, an algorithm to enhance the communication reliability of ARINC429 is put forward uniting the redundancy technology of two channels, which realizes the switching of the two communication channels without losing information when channel failure is happened and prevents any undetected error with even number of bits caused by parity check in ARINC429 word thoroughly. The system designed in this thesis applies the algorithm above and the Hamming code in ARINC429 and RS-232 respectively to advance the system reliability and the modularized design to implement the functions of the avionics data communications and the code/decode disposal. After comparing a few kinds of prevalent viewable software developing environments, this thesis adopts Delphi to develop the system software which has friendly human-machine interface (HMI) to accord with the project command. Finally, the system functions are tested in the laboratory environment.
