Residential Area Landscape And Environmental Characteristics Of The Design Study

This thesis mainly deals with the characteristic designing of residential community landscape environment. With the purpose of creating a landscape environment which reflects a personal and high-taste life concept, which is harmonious with the surrounding and which can attain a sustainable development, the thesis, by some valid application, mainly explores the analysis model and designing principle in the characteristic designing of residential community landscape environment.Realizing the various problems existing in current urban residential community landscape environment such as the lack of characteristics in its planning and construction, the weak connection between the landscape environment with its surrounding environment and the vagueness and lack of applicability of the "characteristics" theory, the thesis analyses the connotation, the experiencing and cognitive methods of the residential community landscape environment. Moreover, by adopting the concept of characteristic resources, the thesis systemizes, objectifies and clarifies the idea of characteristic designing in residential community landscape environment. The concept of characteristic resources includes the material layer (humanistic and natural environment) and the spiritual layer (artificial environment and policy environment). Combining this concept with the relevant methods of systemic approach which integrate the consideration of the overall structure, the different strata and the dynamic features, this thesis comes up with a comparatively scientific, comprehensive analysis method. The adoption of the concept "characteristic resources" of landscape environment makes the characteristics in designing easily perceived, manipulated and applied to practice. Based on the case study of Golden Mediterranean Residential Community in Huzhou city, the thesis categorizes various characteristic resources according to their effects on the surrounding environment and points out the crucial role of the dominating characteristic resources in landscape planning and the necessity of the combination of the dominating characteristic resources and other relevant characteristic resources, thus providing a overall principle for the planning of landscape environment. The thesis places much emphasis on the application of theory, and the designing principles and methods produced in the process, and the guiding significance of urban residential Landscape environment is highlighted.The study of the residential community landscape environment not only aims to solve the problem of the physical space, but also includes the consideration of psychological needs, cultural atmosphere and social purposes. It put forwards the idea that the analysis and integration of characteristic resources is a crucial element in the creation of environmental characteristics in the planning and designing of residential community. The inclusion of residential landscape environment in the urban environment system greatly widens the dimension of the theoretical application and enjoys profound research significance.
