Ningbo Port Beilun Five Container Terminal Handling Technology And Equipment Configuration

The content of this article researched is about container load and discharge technics and equipment configuration concerned Beilun 5^th Container Terminal of Ningbo Port.According to the development requirement of Ningbo Port, the goal of this research is to choose appropriate container L&D technics and equipment configuration for constructing Beilun 5^th Container Terminal (B5CT) of Ningbo Port, in order to adapt the tendency that container ships are becoming bigger and bigger. To construct B5CT into a modern port with a high standard, quality and efficiency, the research has important meanings. In addition, the key points of the research is to choose appropriate container L&D technics and equipment configuration, based on the features of B5CT and the tendency of domestic and overseas container L&D techniques.The article totally has 5 parts. The first part summarizes the background, goal and basic methods of research.The second one introduces the formulating progress of container L&D technics cases for B5CT, and comparatively analyzes features and development tendency of some typical kinds of L&D technics. It also puts forward several cases for choosing. The third chooses some cases, which mainly uses AHP to analyze some targets of these cases, and finally gets a conclusion that a mixed system of RTG and RMG shall be adopted. In the forth part, it states how to fix L&D equipment based on the adopted case. The last part puts forward comprehensive conclusions and advices. The biggest feature of this article is that it has provided a technical case, namely a mixed system of RTG and RMG, based on the practical conditions of B5CT. In a word, the article has instructive meanings for the first usage of orbit transtainer gantries in Ningbo Port.
