Higher vocational education requires training operational persons in China. Higher vocational institutions of mathematics, as most of the professional basic course in public, apply for the purpose to be enough for the degree of specialized services. But current higher mathematics teaching is not very standardized in China; there are still a large number of problems. The materials can't contact with major courses closely. Some contents are difficult and some can't link up the materials in senior middle schools. These problems make students less interested in mathematics learning, so that the tools of mathematics are ineffective. This article is in view of present uses of the teaching material to make an investigation to the students with the teachers, in response to an inquiry carried out an analysis of the problems. Given the circumstances, we need the existing higher mathematics teaching reform.I have researched the width and depth of the usage of math, the need differs from majors. So as electrical and mechanical specialty in higher mathematics application for more, we should contact closely with higher mathematics. While economic management is closely related with the linear algebra. Secondly, we should improve the interest of students because the interest the best teacher. We can better improve the studying quality by the interest of learing.Furthermore, we should show the idea of the modles and make the students practicing the math idea into the process of learning.In order to improve the quality of students'learning, strengthen professional application, we should reform the vocational higher mathematics textbooks.
