Fanjingshan Nature Reserve In Guizhou Fern Flora, And The Vertical Distribution Pattern

The results showed that there were totally 44 families 406 genera 329 species(included 8 varieties) of Pteridophyte in Mt.Fanjingshan Nature Reserve; Among them, two species is new record to Guizhou, they are Dryopsis nidus (Aspidiaceae) and Phymatopteris glaucopsis (Polypodaceae).The pteridophyte species in Mt.Fanjingshan Nature Reserve can be divided into 11 areal-types and 8 subtypes. Temperate distribution and Tropical Asia distribution were the main elements of the areal-type in this area and representsd to the feature of subtropices transition to temperated area-type.From the flora vertical distribution characteristics analysis, we can come to the conclusion that:1. Pteridophyte species amount reduce rapidly accompany the altitude rise. The altitude alteration affect the Pteridophyte species amount via two ways: one is through the temperature and humidity alteration. The other is indirect through the forest types change.2. The Pteridophyte flora vertical distribution on Mt.Fanjingshan can divide into four region. The Pteridophyte flora characteristic in every region is quite different.
