40-Year Changes In The Spermatophyte Flora Of Aguimiao Nature Reserve And The Status Of Plant Resources

Aguimiao Nature Reserve is located in Ordos City,which is an autonomous region level natural ecological and wild plant protection unit with rich and diversified biological resources.In response to the management policy of national parks as the main nature reserve,the local government will carry out tourism and park management for the Aguimiao Nature Reserve.Therefore,this study and mapping of the changes in wild seed flora and plant resources in the Aguimiao Nature Reserve over the past 40 years is intended to clearly identify plants with ornamental value and regional characteristics,and to provide a basis for tourism management and conservation policy formulation in this reserve.The survey was focused on the ranger house in the reserve as the starting point,along the six branch ditches in the area as well as combining the survey routes of previous authors.With the monthly plant specimen collection in April,May,June,July,August and September of 2021,and identification with the help of tools such as "Flora of Inner Mongolia" and "Flora of Ordos",a list of wild seed plants of Aguimiao was written and the results were compared with those of 1983 to show the findings.There are 55 families,129 genera and 178 species of wild seed plants in this reserve,including 3 families,3 genera and 3 species of gymnosperms,and 52 families,126 genera and 175 species of angiosperms.During the period of 1983-2021,the proportion of wet plants and mesophytic plants decreases;the proportion of dry plants and aquatic plants increases;the proportion of perennial herbs,annual herbs,trees,and parasitic plants decreases;the proportion of biennial herbs,shrubs,semi-shrubs,and vines increases during the change of water ecotype.The proportion of biennial herbs,shrubs,semi-shrubs,and vines increased.In terms of distribution types,the family level maintains the characteristics of temperate component and world component.At the genus level,although the species tended to decline,there was no significant change in the total flora,and the temperate component was still dominant.The faunal distribution of the species is dominated by the Paleo-Eastern Arctic component and the East Asian component.There are 4 endemic genera in China,accounting for 3.1% of the total number of genera.The distribution of these endemic genera enhances the value of the reserve.The wild plant resources of this reserve can be divided into 6 major categories according to their uses,101 species of wild edible plants,79 species of forage plants,86 species of medicinal plants,25 species of industrial plants,11 species of rare and endangered plants,41 species of wild ornamental plants,and a total of 262 plants need to be listed.
