| The proposition and implementation of creative education are the ardent hope of this era; it is also the inevitable result of education reform. The implementation of creative education must begin with specific disciplines. Mathematics is one of the most important basic courses of the university disciplines. It is characterized by strong fundamentality, long course term and strong practicality. Thus, it exerts a great influence on students' thinking habit and way of studying. The thesis is aimed at promoting students' creative thinking and capability through mathematics courses.The thesis first details the importance and necessity of implementing virtual creative teaching and learning in university mathematics curriculum. Then, based on the current teaching and learning situation, mathematics pedagogy, mathematic methodology, cognitive psychology, thinking psychology, and creativity psychology etc., the thesis recalls the origin and definition of "creativity" and "creative education" and prop6ses the implementation steps of creative teaching in mathematics. Then, the thesis expounds the theoretical foundations of virtual creative teaching in mathematics, namely, the focus of teaching—problem-solving; main characteristic—exploration and discovery; basic organizational form of studying—self-motivated creative learning; and basic goal—good mathematic cognitive structure. At last the thesis displays the feasibility of virtual creative teaching in mathematics by using specific examples.This article is both theoretical- and practical-oriented in the hope of inspiring university mathematics teachers; it also has some practical significance for deepening mathematics teaching reform and developing mathematics teaching. |
