In June2010, the Ministry of Education launched “The Excellence EngineerTraining Plan”, various colleges and universities are exploring “ExcellenceEngineer” training program and the way. All disciplines are efforts to reform theirteaching and course content for the purpose of training excellent engineering talent.University Physics is a compulsory foundation course of the EngineeringSpecialties. University physics teaching should actively face and think howteaching and course content more in line with the characteristics of the EngineeringSpecialties, and how to better cultivate the capacity and quality of engineeringstudents, and how better to promote the growth of the engineering students.In the context of the excellent engineers training plan, this article throughanalysis and comparison of the international undergraduate engineers’ academiceducation mutual recognition organizations 《Washington Accord》 Signedcountries and China college physics teaching. Analysis the characteristics of eachin the teaching content, curriculum, teaching materials building. By the comparethe《Washington Accord》 Signed country’s well-known textbook teaching content,choreography of teaching materials, exercises etc. with 《University physicsteaching basic requirements for science and engineering》and famous universityphysics textbook teaching content of China. Compared the Courses curriculum ofcollege physics for science and engineering of China University of Technologywith the 《Washington Accord》 Signed countries University Physics curriculum,To learn the differences between 《Washington Accord》 Signed countries andChina in the content of teaching, curriculum, textbooks building of college physicsfor science and engineering. Then combined with the actual situation of ouruniversity physics teaching object’s basic and engineering education in China, andsummarizes points inspired with the comparative study of college physics teaching.Pointed out that on the basis of the existing advantages, For The content of teaching,curriculum and teaching materials construction, in the engineering college physicsteaching our country need to focus more on the characteristics of engineeringspecialties, and the development of engineering students, embodies more "Humanism" Characteristics, to promote a better development of engineeringeducation, To promote the comprehensive development of the engineering studentsin the knowledge, ability and quality. Services for the training of the excellence、outstanding engineering talents.
