Yangmingshan Nature Reserve In Hunan Province Woody Flora Study

Yangmingshan is situated in northeasten Shuangpai county, Hunan province. It connect with Ningyuan county and Qiyang county, extending from 26°02′00″-26°06′15″N, 111°51′ 36″-111°57′36″E, with an area 11267.9ha. This paper discusses the floristic structure of families, genera and species of wooden seed plants, as well as features of Yangmingshan flora and relation with its neighboring regions, the statistics and comparatively intensive analysis at different levels, as familiar, generic, and specific respectively were given. Based on the statistics, the analysis result as followed: There are 102 families, 229 genera and 679 species are recorded in Yangmingshan, of those families, genera and species recorded in Yangmingshan, there are 6 families, 17 genera and 26 species in Gymnospermae, 93 families, 274 genera and 641 species in Dicotyledones, 3 families, 8 genera and 12 species in Monecotyledones. The consistence of families of wooden seed plants flora is that, thera are 6 larger families (including more than 20 species) in this flora, among them, Rosaceae is the largest, the following next are Lauraceae, Fagaceae, Fabaceae, Rubiaceae, Theaceae; According to the distribution pattern of families, 102 families in this flora can be classified to 9 areal-types, among them, pantropic type is the largest type, including 48 families, the following type next is North Temperate type, including 20 families, Endemic to china has 4 families. The consistence of genera of wooden seed plants flora is that, there are 7 larger genera (including more than 10 species) in this flora, among them, Rubus is the largest, the following next are Acer, Symplocos, Rhododendron, Ilex, Lindera, Viburnum; There are 299 genera in this flora, analysis show that these genera can be grouped into 14 areal-types and 9 subtypes as proposed by Wu Zhengyi, of the 15 types, Pantropic type with 55 genera is at the first position, the following next are East Aisa type and its subtypes with 49, North Temperate type and its subtypes with 42 genera, East Asia-North America disjuncted type with 33 genera, and Tropical Aisa (Indo-Malesia) type with 33 genera; The total number of genera belonging to various Tropical and Subtropical types comes to 134 and that for Temperate types is 89, R/T ration (Tropical genera/Temperate genera) is 1.50, so, in this flora, Tropical and Subtropical element is more important than other elements. The consistence of species of wooden seed plants flora is that, there are 679 species of wooden seed plants recorded in this flora, these species can be grouped into 12 areal-types, among them Chinese Endemic species with 353 species is at the first position, the following next are East Aisa Endemic species with 173 species, Tropical Asia species with 128 species, the other types species have only 52 species. The feature of the endemic to this flora is that, there are 4 Chinese endemic families, these families are Ginkgoaceae, Sargendodoxaceae, Eucommiaceae and Bretschneideraceae; there are 17 chinensis endemic genera, making up 5.7% of the total genera; there are 353 Chinese endemic species, making up 52.0% of the total species. Yangmingshan region relation with its neighboring regions: this flora is much more closely allied to Taoyuandong than to the others of its neighborhood, the following next are Dupanling, Yunshan, the much less closely is Badagongshan. After floristic analysis, this paper agree that Yangmingshan flora belongs to East-China Province, Holarctic Kingdom.
