With the development of technology, Marketing requirement changed from day to day, and then product life cycle was reduced. M company R&D process is limited. Her R&D process was simple, and information flow was bad. Most time designers got no information for design requirement, other time, they got unclear information, and no Project manager or product manager gave explanation, and then designers did not know how to make design work. The information flow was a problem, so the R&D process was not smooth. What's more, M company knew few about Concurrent Engineering, their design work was not parallel, and project schedule was long. Customers now are demanding innovation in the knowledge economy. So, reengineering of R&D was critical to survival in today's hypercompetitive business environment. It involved years of patient (and impatient) investigation, punctuated by moments of inspiration. It positions uncontrollable creativity side by side with disciplined business process. And it is, also for other companies.This paper has following five chapters:In Chapter One introduces the reason to reengineering for R&D process of M company, and method of information collecting. In Chapter two, introduces BPR and some paper that already researched on R&D process improve or reform. Chapter three and Flour focus on R&D process of M company, and analysis the weak points. In Chapter Five, introduced how M company R&D made improvements. At last, in Chapter Six, give conclusion, how the improvements works and what supports are needed.
