With the changing external environment, the continued expansion on scale for enterprise, the drilling engineering enterprises confront with so many new problems and challenges, how to deal with these, and enhance their core capabilities and competitiveness constantly, the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company have to consider seriously, grasping the objective environment, identifying their own position, planning for the future and establishing a modern enterprise system and setting up the long-term developing strategy and to ensure a good implementation, which has become the main way to decide developing direction, trend and advancing of the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company.This paper describes the related concepts and theories for competitive strategy briefly, retrospect the evolution of strategic thinking for competition and on the basis of analysis strategic managing tool, combining with the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company's own realities and confronting internal and external environment, learning from successful business development experience at home or abroad , making the in-depth research on competitive strategy designing and implementation for the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company.This paper describes the background and research significance briefly, and put forward the main research content of this article, namely, business environment analysis, strategy formulation, strategic implementation guarantees, and from the three aspects as the external macro-environment, industry environment, and the exterior enterprise environment, carried out a detailed analysis to the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company; and according to the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company's strategic mission and strategic goals, combined with Ogilvy & Mather's competitive advantages and disadvantages, developing opportunities and challenges, making use of EFE Matrix, IFE matrix and so on ,as the competitive strategic managing tool to analyze the existing business of Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company, which contained growth-oriented business, the company should adopt developing strategies at the strategic level. Propose to strengthen the human resource management at last, developing an international human resources, improve the market structure in customer-oriented, strengthen cost controlling, increase the management on purchase and sale, and enhance the performance assessment, increase technological innovation and enhance international brands to accelerate the building of enterprise culture strategy for the implement countermeasures, in order to form the company's core competitiveness, and to achieve strategic objectives for the Great Wall Drilling Engineering Company's.
