The joint-stock commercial bank is our country financial system’s important component, is also our country economic reform and financial system reform. Since1986 China established the first joint-stock banks-- the Bank of communications since joint-stock commercial bank, banking industry has become one of important economy main body, market share continues to expand, the economic impact is growing. And since it’s birth is based on breaking the traditional big four state-owned bank monopoly, improving the bank performance, therefore from the joint-stock commercial banks the moment, it has the natural advantage. For example, joint-stock commercial banks don’t carry much policy burden, its commercialize management feature is more obvious; it from the beginning to implement share-holding system,makes the decision more democratic; part of the joint-stock banks to introduce foreign strategic investors, for the introduction of foreign advanced bank management level plays an important role; the other joint-stock banks also has a number of high-quality talents, the future market development has laid a good foundation. But due to China’s accession to the WTO, the financial industry to realize the comprehensive and open,foreign banks started all-round to enter the Chinese market, its advanced bank management, information management technology and foreign customer resources, in the near future will give the domestic bank formed the huge impact. In addition, the domestic regional city commercial banks also continues to rise, further eroding traditional joint-stock commercial bank market share. These are anxious for joint-stock commercial banks in the new situation to make good use of all the favorable opportunity, avoid risk, connected with their own conditions, foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses, maintain their own core competitiveness. So this paper will joint-stock banks opportunities and threats, advantages and disadvantages are analyzed one by one, to find suitable for the development of a series of competitive strategy and function strategy, for the joint-stock commercial bank’s further development has helped to provide theoretical support and reference. This paper is divided into five parts, including introduction, differences of the competitive strategy of dynamic environment analysis, joint-stock commercial banks, joint-stock commercial banks competitive strategy analysis, contractors banking differentiation competition strategy of advantage: the introduction part introduces the writing background, the thesis and the research methods used; the theory introduction part,introduces the industry life cycle theory, structure theory and SWOT theory; strategic analysis, first on the differentiation competitive strategy analysis, then the joint-stock commercial banks analysis; fourth part is the strategy choice and implementation,according to the conclusion of the third section, further elaborated the enterprise overall strategy, competitive strategy should be how to choose and implementation issues, research conclusion for the joint-stock banks future development will have great significance.
