How to improve a firm's economic efficiency is an issue that most enterprises are eager to resolve,and the improving of process is the key. BPR is an advanced management concept and an important symbol in the development of the science of management. Currently,it is widely used in domestic and international enterprises showing remarkable improvements in management performance. It can prioritize the relevant resources,reduce the completion of projects,improve working efficiency, work on value adding tasks,eliminate unnecessary repetitive work,All the points listed above demonstrate the capability of BPR to better the entire process of the management of a firm. This thesis primarily focuses on the theoretical aspect of BPR followed by a practical application of the principles which concludes by examining the relevant elements so as to gain an in depth understanding.This thesis concludes and comments on the BPR,especially in relation to the concepts,the principles and the relationship between corporate culture and BPR. Next,an analysis is made in regard to the application of BPR into small to medium enterprises to better the foundation of this theory. After that,the thesis applies the theoretical model and methodology of BPR into practice. From the current management of the mechanical process of HC enterprise,focusing on the difficulties in the production process, analyzing the distribution of machinery process,lathe operation process, production processes and then making corresponding improvements. Then this thesis incorporates various improvements that can be made to increase productivity level and mammies the efficiency of production. Lastly are analysis and comments of the elements that contribute to the success of this management concept in the HC machinery factory and in the small to medium process enterprises.
