The Evaluation Of Economic Development Based On The Method Of Entropy And AHP

The report of the the central committee of the communist party of China drawing 11th five-year plan for economic & social growth presents: "we should enhance the understanding of the connotation and essence of the scientific development view and build comprehensive evaluation system of economic and social development that accords with the scientific development view". Undoubtedly, among the five integrated development,economic development is the basic one.It is the precondition and basis of all development.Unless economy develops, other development is impossible.Nevertheless,the first thing of solving the problem of forcing the economic development to drive the whole social development is to analyze and evaluate the economic development.So,an urgent problem to be solved is evaluating and analyzing Chinese economic development objectively and concretely.The research of this paper is lanched at this point.The content of chapter one includes putting forward the question, analyzing the current situation of the study both at home and abroad and presenting the thinking and frame of this paper.In chapter two and three,the appraisal system and approach are fixed.Then they are used to evaluate the sample cities" economic development in chapter four.Finally, the conclusion is drawn in chapter five.The main characteristic and innovation of this paper lie in three following aspects.Firstly, the entropy weight that is objective and the AHP that is realistic and rational are synthetically used in the appraisal.So it solves the problem fo the existing research which only uses AHP causing subjectivity and randomness,or which only uses Principal Compants Analysis causing hardly reflecting experts" experience or rationality.Secondly,a multilevel index system is established in this paper consisting of the general economic development level,science and technology and education,the people's living standard, urban-rural disparity and resource and environment so that solving the problem of neglecting other components that affect the economic development.Thirdly,during the process of filtering endexes,using the method of relative analysis and weight comparison to get rid of the relative but not so important indexes so that improve the evaluation efficiency.
