The bigger the scale of the private corporation is, the more standard the management becomes. Entrepreneur pays more attention to human resource management. Not only the performance management is significant to the HRM, but also it is unsubstantial to private corporations. Both in planning and in implementing performance management there are many issues, hereinbefore is the main content of this paper.According to the"modern performance management"theory and the status of the performance management of the private corporation in Guangdong, the paper studies the performance management of private corporations.At the beginning of the paper, it involves the basis of the performance management theory and the problems in the performance management which private corporations are facing. It includes the definition of the performance management, the performance management process, the problems in the performance management which private corporations are facing and how to solve the problems.In the middle of the paper, it analyzes the performance management of the private corporation and plans it again. It includes the performance management objectives, guidelines, organizations, procedures and how to use the performance management results. Then it studies how to decide performance management targets. It includes the target system forms, the key target systems and how to decide the work goals. At last it talks about the approaches of the performance management. It includes performance plan, aid and feedback, performance evaluation and application.At the end of the paper, the emphases how to plan,the difficulties how to implement the performance management and the significance of the performance management of the private corporation are summarized.
