Business process re-engineering (BPR) is considered as an effective approach to improve performance and core competitiveness of enterprise. BPR introduces new concepts and tools of process improvement, and emphasizes the viewpoints of system optimizing and custom oriented. Usually BPR can make a stupendous progress in performance. Post-merger BPR is the key of strategic merger and acquisition. But based on statistic, the percentage of successful project of BPR is small. On the one hand, there may be some disfigurement in application of the tools of BPR. On the other hand, there possibly bring warps, while differentiating and answering the project circumstance. In addition, low personnel diathesis and nonsupport of innovation result in inefficacy of BPR.Aimed at an actual case of a specifically enterprise, which actualized BPR on the background of strategic M & A, this paper tries to conclude the steps, concepts, methods and the points of environment identification in changeful circumstance.This paper expatiates the essential theories of BPR firstly. Then, aimed at a given enterprises, we rationally use the techniques and tools of BPR to analyze the status quo of key process, optimize and validate the essential process, statistic and compare the short-term performance after implement BPR. Moreover, this paper discusses the cruces of actualizing new process, and presents the viewpoint of sustaining amelioration. In conclusion, based on demonstration, we summarize some elementary slants on Post-merger BPR in Chinese enterprises.
